Scenario

Grant County is home to Mt. Storm Station, a coal-fired power facility that produces electricity.  There is also a wind farm being built in the same general vicinity in Grant County.  Many people in our community have different opinions on what is best for our county.

The community has asked for your help in determining if expanding energy production operations will be a good way to bring more jobs to local residents and provide increased levels of electricity for consumers.  You are part of a team of experts who will make recommendations about types of energy production facilities, location needs and the types of employment opportunities different types of expansions could provide. When making your decision you must consider the impact on the environment, energy production levels, the number of new jobs that will be brought into the county and any other issues that may arise during this expansion.  Your team will be responsible for making a presentation to a panel of experts to share your findings.
